Groosland is a work that is both funny and sad at once, where all the dancers, both men and women, wear swollen costumes. Despite this, they move with elegance, grace and speed to the “bouncing” concertos of Jean-Sébastien Bach. With a tender and amused eye, Maguy Marin takes mischievous delight in staging these corpulent creatures.

With this masterful duo, Maguy Marin tells of original love, the love of the time of innocence. Man takes hold of woman, who surrenders herself and becomes a liana, without touching the ground. A fusion of bodies and beings that become one, never more to part.
