Against the powerful score of Stravinsky’s Les Noces representing the ancestral rite, Stijn Celis’s ballet Noces presents the confrontation of twelve brides dressed in white tulle and twelve grooms in black suits in a biting and expressionist country wedding that challenges the institution of marriage.
